Welcoming guests from around the world is one of the things we love most about hosting.
This lovely group travelled all the way from the USA to explore the Lake District, and we're so grateful they chose our cottage as their home away from home.
Reading that they enjoyed the cosy space, the little handmade touches, and the beautiful surroundings makes all the effort worthwhile.

One of our favourite spots in Kendal 🤍

Marra has that perfect cosy feel — a warm, welcoming space where everything just slows down a little. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is truly exquisite, and you can tell everything is made with real care.

Whether it’s coffee, sourdough pizza, or something simple done beautifully, it’s the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to.
