Littlemere Lake District Lodges are set in a truly unique and unrivaled location for a holiday situated on our family farm in Selside on the edge of the Lake District. Only a few miles away from the small market town of Kendal and within easy reach of Bowness on Windermere and all its attractions. ‘Littlemere’ is set around a small lake (‘little-mere’) with an abundance of wildlife including our r

esident Roe Deer, March Hares, Squirrels and Water Birds. We are open all year round, our lodges are all fully insulated with acoustic insulation and have wood burners ensuring winter breaks are cosy and warm.

‘Littlemere’ is a small family run site offering luxury one bedroom self-catering lodges with Jacuzzi baths, wood burning stoves and a private decked area overlooking the lake, which are the ideal retreat for couples looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with footpaths and bridleways on the doorstep it is ideal for anyone looking to explore the beautiful Lake District.

🌞🌑 WEDNESDAY’S SOLAR ECLIPSE! 🌑🌞

On the evening of 12 August 2026, skywatchers across the UK will be treated to an exciting partial solar eclipse, as the Moon partially covers the Sun, taking a dramatic “bite” out of its bright disk.

At Littlemere Lake District Lodges the partial eclipse is forecast to start just after 6pm reaching maximum coverage (92%) at 7:08pm, before finishing at about 8:02pm.

Don't forget to PROTECT YOUR EYES 👓
NEVER look directly at the Sun without proper solar eclipse glasses or a certified solar viewer. Normal sunglasses are NOT safe, no matter how dark they are. Look for glasses that meet ISO 12312-2

Rubys Meadow opened today for it's very first day - within walking distance of Littlemere (2km) it's a gorgeous pick your own wildflower meadow - open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 4pm

What a fabulous first day! Thank you to everyone who came. We are back open next Friday 10am to 4pm. We are open for group bookings through the week, we have some exciting classes planned for the meadow this year 💜🩵❤️💛🧡
