Occasionally we get to use our own facilities. Tonight was one of those times and ordering products online via WiFi whilst enjoying the view was quite bizarre!

A recent enquiry from a potential guest for this weekend who was looking to save some money (and booking direct will save roughly 20%!) didn’t happen, but at 20% more it wasn’t surprising. If only we could say in the popular platforms (book direct) without consequences… we would.

Interesting times.. We’ve been experimenting with creating a ‘Love Nest’ on our Hayloft. Obviously people who have been here before will realise that the hayloft isn’t as primitive as it sounds and because we wouldn’t have the additional costs of the extra laundry and cleaning, costs could be more advantageous.

If you’re planning a getaway for just two, give us a shout.. we’re always happy to work something out direct.

Meanwhile… Stealing the moment in idyllic surroundings…

Headed over to Kirkby Lonsdale today. The picnic area, bridge and river is a big hit with tourists. Easy to see why, and the mobile cafe on the bridge provides a fabulous breakfast.
