It’s official! 🏆 Ramsgate ranked the number 1 seaside town to move to in England and Wales! 🎉🌊
The 2026 study tracked 108 coastal towns, taking into account:
Housing affordability, 🏠
Sunshine hours, 🌞
and resident well-being 🧍🧑‍🩰
and Ramsgate took the crown! 👑 It was an incredible sweep for the Isle of Thanet with Margate taking the #2 spot and Broadstairs ranking in the top 20!
But our amazing Royal Harbour, soaring summer temperatures (with that lovely sea breeze), and high local happiness scores put us right at the top. ☀️⚓ 🎉
We already know how special the Isle of Thanet is, but it’s wonderful to see the rest of the UK catching on! 🥰
ps. I took this image on an early morning dog walk in September last year! What a way to start your day! 🌄
