Otterbield is a beautiful newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment located in Portinscale.

We are 15 minute walk along the river into Keswick centre and a small short stroll to Derwent Water Marina.
On our doorstep are the starting points for some amazing walks...Catbells, Causey Pike, The Coledale horseshoe and The Newlands Round so we really are the perfect location for all 🏔💛

The Lake District is known for its endless amount of walks....here are a few of the best walks in and around the Kendal area for you to enjoy whilst staying with us!

⚫️ Scouts Scar - West of Kendal offering some of the best views of the Southern Lakes.

⚫️ Hugill Fell and Reston Scar - starting in the close village of Staveley, enjoy this 3 mile walk.

⚫️ Kentmere Pike - this 12 mile walk made it into Lancashire Life's top 5 walks near Kendal, a challenging but enjoyable walk.

⚫️ Kendal to Sizergh Hike - starting off with a steep hike but well worth it when you can enjoy Sizergh Castle and Gardens and enjoy some delicious food in the tea rooms.
