Evening all 👋

Spring wouldn’t be spring without a trip up to the lovely Grange Fell. This place is fantastic with lots of lumps and bumps to explore. Yes it’s a bit boggy in places, no clear paths, walls and barb wire fences, not an easy fell to negotiate but it’s a wonderful place. A little quieter than Rannerdale Knotts and the bluebells 😳. Loads of deer about but didn’t manage to photograph them as they legged it when they saw yours truly huffing and puffing.

Instead of going to the usual places I know, I decided to have an explore as had a few hours till sunset. Always like to try and find something different. Ended up stumbling across this great place with a stonewall and gorgeous birch trees. I thought I was in for clear skies but luckily got some cloud bubble up which added to the scene. Gorgeous light and the colours on the birch trees were glorious.

Not the best place to be perched and got nibbled by a fair few ticks but it was worth it. My wife wasn’t impressed when I used her eyebrow tweezers 😂😂😂😬. Enjoy your evening 😎
