Our walk of the week is Walla Crag, a lovely 5 mile circular walk which takes 3 hours from the door.

With great views over Keswick and Derwentwater, it provides a great vantage point to plan your next adventure.

Described by Wainwright as a "brief but excellent insight into the joys of fellwalking", walla crag is a great place to get a footing on the fells. ask our team for more information and the best routes.

We kicked off our festive celebrations with Visit Keswick the Lake District’s Santa Splash this morning.

Teams from local businesses went head to head around the course on a very calm Derwentwater.

We entered two teams of eager Santas and came a very respectable 2nd and 4th.

A huge thank you to KTA for hosting another fantastic event.

Transformation time!! A huge thanks to our wonderful volunteers for once again helping us spruce up the hostel. This time we’ve been decorating the humble ground floor bathroom. We’re delighted with the results! 😍

It was lovely to get out and about today. We had a stall at Keswick Victorian Fayre to raise money and awareness for the YHA Breaks fund; providing life changing experiences to those with the most challenging lives.

It was a fantastic day and we really enjoyed getting into the festive spirit and meeting so many people from the local community. 🎄

🦇 Our Halloween craft sessions are well underway 🎃

Join us from 10am-2pm (Monday-Friday) throughout half term.

Tomorrow Emily will be showing us how to make bats, cats and frogs 🐈‍⬛ and you can try out the hostel ghost hunt 👻

All activities are free, just drop-in. We have something for everyone, pop in and say hello!

We’re very excited to announce that our free half term activities are back!!!

Join us each day from Monday 25th to Friday 29th in the Riverside Cafe.

🎃 We’ll be making different creepy crafts for you to try each day. All week we have a haunted hostel hunt on the go and we would love you to help us make a ghostly garland to decorate the hostel for Halloween. 👻

All sessions run from 10am-2pm, drop in and join us! The cafe will be open with teas, coffees and lunches available.

All sessions are free with donations to the YHA Breaks charity gratefully appreciated.

We’ll see you there!
