Our team is heart broken to share the news that Brian, our amazing breakfast chef, has passed away.

Brian joined us in 2020 and very quickly became a hugely valued part of our team. For the past few years he was always our first choice breakfast chef — someone we could rely on completely.

He was never late, always 100% dedicated, loyal and incredibly hardworking. No job was ever too much trouble for Brian, and he would always make sure every task on the list was finished before he left.

Brian wasn’t just a fantastic member of staff, he was a genuinely lovely person who brought warmth and kindness to the pub every single day.

He also shared a special connection to the pub through his brother Kenny, who worked with us previously and who we remember very fondly. It means a great deal to us that both of them were part of our story here.

We are incredibly grateful for everything Brian did for us. He will always be remembered as a valued member of our team and a truly lovely man.

Our thoughts are with their family in this difficult time 💛

A few kind words from our restaurant manager ‘super’ Keith 🦸‍♂️ ❤️

‘On Saturday 25th October 2025. I completed my tandem skydive for the Alzheimer's society. Thanks to all you lovely and generous people we... as a team together managed to raise over £1700. I am still overwhelmed with everyone's generosity. Some of you who contributed I have known a years. But incredibly even strangers I had never met before contributed which I find incredibly kind. You should all sleep happily knowing that you have supported this great cause. I thank you all from my heart ❤️ .’

We are so lucky to have such a caring and brave people on our team ❤️ Stephen has been a part of our kitchen team for quite a few years now supporting our head chef and producing delicious food. He decided to do a sky jump for Alzheimer’s charity.
Here is a few words from Stephen:
“This charity is really close to my heart. I've seen so many friends and family members struggle with Alzheimer's. That's why I'm participating in a sky dive on 25th of October

I believe that together we can make a difference. The research being done is crucial for understanding this disease better and finding ways to support those affected by it. Every little bit helps, and your support can contribute to groundbreaking research that could change lives.”
