Cumbria House Keswick This Georgian style Victorian home sleeps up to 15 people, perfect for families and large groups to stay and explore the surrounding area.

Self-catering accommodation featuring 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, spectacular views, 2 lounges, large dining room & well equipped kitchen, private car park for up to 6 cars - take a look at: cumbriahouse.co.uk Cumbria House is located on a quiet street in the heart of Keswick, a couple of minutes walk from the town centre, its bars, cafés, restaurants and shops, and has great access to the surrounding lakes and fells. Self catering: you will have exclusive use of the whole house; eight bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a dining room, a large kitchen, two lounges, a utility room, drying room and south facing patio. There is free super-fast wifi throughout and a large private off-street car park for seven cars. Room-only stays: for a few weeks of the year we are able to offer our eight en-suite bedrooms for room-only stays. Perfect for individuals and couples, there is also access to the guest lounge, drying room and south facing patio.

Another little recommendation from us at Cumbria House! ⛰️

If you’re heading out for a walk in Borrowdale, the Glaramara Centre is well worth knowing about and stopping in. We stopped by recently and had some lovely soup with homemade bread, which went down very well after being out walking!

You can pop in for lunch or just stop for a cup of tea and some homemade shortbread. There’s a lovely lounge with a roaring fire in the colder months, and the views aren’t bad either!

Definitely worth a visit if you’re spending the day exploring Borrowdale 🥾☕️

Not every group needs the same sleeping arrangements! 🏡

One of the great thing is that our bedrooms can be adapted to suit who’s coming to stay. Planning a weekend with friends, a family get-together or a walking trip? Some of our double rooms can also be made up as twins, giving you a little more flexibility when organising your stay.

With room for up to 15 people, we can help make sure the sleeping arrangements work for your group. Just let us know what you need when booking!

After the recent temperature drops, it’s safe to say cosy season has arrived in Keswick 🍂

We love Cumbria House at this time of year with the comfortable bedrooms, two cosy lounges for those evenings by the fire and plenty of space for everyone to get together. Autumn walks, evenings in with your favourite people and everything Keswick has to offer right on your doorstep.

Another one of our host recommendations to add to your Keswick list: North Kitchen and Bar 🍴

Based at Greta Bridge, North is just a short walk from Cumbria House and somewhere we’d recommend while you’re staying with us.

Their food takes inspiration from Northern Italy and Nordic cuisine, with seasonal ingredients and produce grown close to home. There’s also a bakery for coffee, breads and pastries, alongside relaxed lunches and evening meals.

One to save for the next time everyone asks, “where shall we eat tonight?” 🏡

Friar’s Crag is just a short walk from us, taking you out of Keswick and alongside Derwentwater to one of the most picturesque viewpoints around the lake.

Perfect for a morning wander, an evening walk or getting everyone out of the house for an hour or so! Another reason we love having so much to do right from the door ⛰️

Staying at Cumbria House and fancy a gym session, sauna or cold plunge while you’re here? 🏡

Beyond Fitness is just a one minute walk from the front door, with day and week passes available for visitors to Keswick. There’s a fully equipped gym with cardio, weights and studio areas, plus showers and changing facilities. You can also add access to the Recovery Room, with a large sauna and two plunge pools, or book the Recovery Room on its own.

Open for pass use 6am–8pm Monday to Friday and 7am–4pm at weekends.

Download the Beyond Fitness Keswick app to purchase your pass and access the gym. Another handy one to have right on the doorstep when you stay with us. 💪🏻

pov: you’re soaking up the sun on our patio in the middle of Keswick ☀️

This is one of our favourite spots at Cumbria House. Morning coffee outside, a drink after a day on the fells or everyone around the table enjoying a sunny evening. And with Keswick right on the doorstep, you don’t have to go far for the rest of your plans ⛰️

Only five minutes from our front door and you can be stood looking over Derwentwater!

Our location means that you can head out for a morning stroll and have views like this one, straight away. With so much in walking distance, you can leave the car behind and enjoy a few days exploring at your own pace 🥾
