Underscar, The Northern Lakes UNDERSCAR sits in one of the most enviable positions in the Northern Lakes on the sheltered slopes of Skiddaw!

The Underscar estate is situated in the most fantastic location on the lower southerly slopes of Skiddaw, there are many wonderful fell walks all around. Underscar is approximately two miles from the quaint market town of Keswick where you can enjoy a wide range of activities including shopping, golf, lakeside theatre, galleries, museums and not forgetting the wonderful sailing on Derwentwater.

In just over nine years, Phil has transformed 1863 into an award-winning foodie destination. The restaurant now holds three AA Rosettes, winning both the Cumbria Tourism ‘Taste’ Award and a Cumbria Life Readers’ Awards.

His exceptional autumnal menu showcases incredible local and seasonal ingredients, from honey-glazed milk bread to delicious Cartmel Valley Venison finishing with a dessert of Valrhona Chocolate, Whipped Caramel and Cardamom - to name a few of the courses!💚

Look forward to the festive season… 🎄

We have got a little treat in store for you…before the exciting festivities of Christmas and New Year begin, why not enjoy a short pre-Christmas break? ✨

It is a wonderful time of year to explore the Lakes - enjoy some pre-festive shopping in Keswick, stay cosy in a local pub or head out for a chilly winter walk to blow away the cobwebs. ❄️
