Yew Craggs - the only house (we believe) from where you can see both the smallest and highest Wainwright fells - Castle Crag and Scafell Pike - as well as plenty of fells in between!! All rooms have fabulous fell and river views and if you're lucky you'll spot the kingfisher. We pride ourselves on our food offering. Bread is made by Colin; jams, preserves and chutneys by Anne-Marie, and we both share the cakes you'll find in your packed lunch! Come and enjoy our Borrowdale Breakfast with Colin's potato bread; our signature scrambled eggs or porridge (made by a Scotsman).

It’s the Borrowdale Fell race today - a pretty gruelling race taking in Bessyboot, Scafell Pike and Great Gable before descending to Honister. We’re looking up to Dale Head the final checkpoint spotting runners descend back to Borrowdale and the finish line in Rosthwaite. 🏃🏻🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️⛰️👟
