Hi All,
It was a very wet day yesterday but found that there would be a small window of dry weather in Maryport in the afternoon so we found ourselves on a little wander around Maryport Marina.

Hi All,
I had a great walk yesterday afternoon. Started out at Great Wood, walked to Ashness Bridge and then up to Walla Crag. There wasn't much in the way of interesting light but the clouds were amazing. After spending 20 minutes or so here I came back to Great Wood via Cat Gill.

Hi All,
I had another go at the Lily of the Valley keeping it dark and moody with a little bit of side lighting. I love these little flowers and they are so fragrant.

Hi All,
A couple of evenings ago I went up Latrigg with the hope of some dappled spring sunshine in the valleys, but it wasn't to be. As soon as I left the car the sun disappeared and everything went grey. Not to be deterred I continued and what a great sight with the drama and the rain making it's way down the valley towards me.

Hi All,
This is one of my favourite subjects to photograph - Lilly of the Valley.
I have some plants in pots so quite easy to move them around to get a picture.

Hi All,
I was hoping for a glimmer of evening sun this evening over the Coldale Horseshoe. As I got to the top of Latrigg I could see the rain in the valley coming towards me. It was a quick walk as I turned around and made my way back to the car. I just managed to change back into my shoes and the rain hit me.

Hi All,
I took this image the night before last on my way to take the shot in my last post.
The sun was low and threw it's warm light over Skiddaw, Keswick and the surrounding fells. It's a pity the light didn't last but you can't have everything. It was pretty here so I'm glad a stopped for a while to admire the view.

Hi All,
I had a trot out yesterday evening to catch the setting sun. When I left the house we had beautiful sunshine with hardly a cloud in the sky. The sun was low with a few clouds bubbling up so I thought that was promising for a warm glow in the sky as the sun was setting.
However, when I reached my destination the sun had dropped behind a big blanket of cloud just above the hill line.
Although disappointing, I loved the walk, didn't see a soul and I still liked the image even though it's taken during blue hour.
I stood there for a while admiring the view ahead of me, before descending down the hill to the car.
I'll try again on another evening!

Hi All,
This is a cracking little walk directly from our village. I walked up the valley as seen on the left, then back over to finish the climb up Barrow before traversing over the top and back home. Lovely view of Bassenthwaite in the background.

Hi All,
The bluebell seems to be the most important wild flower at the moment with people going off to try their hand at capturing them. There are some wonderful images on the socials at the moment.
