After almost eight amazing years running Brierholme Guest House, Keswick, it is time for us to stop cracking eggs, stirring beans, changing towels, and making beds!
In order to spend more quality time with family we decided that 2024 would probably be our last season at Brierholme. We weren't expecting that it would happen as quickly as it has but due to an unexpected offer, we will permanently be closing the doors at Brierholme from 12th May 2024! Unfortunately, the new owners will not be running the property as guest accommodation so Brierholme's story will come to a happy finale with us.
Jonathan, George, and I would like to say a huge thank you to every person who has supported us at Brierholme in the last 8 years. We have loved every minute of our time here. Brierholme will always have a place in our hearts. We have met some lovely people and made some lifelong friends along the way. We will be staying in Keswick so don't be surprised if you bump into us (let's be honest it will be either on the fells or more likely in a pub!).

Our close friends Ben & Fiona run Glencoe Guest House. The property is of a similar size and style to Brierholme and their hospitality is second to none. You will see this if you check out their amazing TripAdvisor reviews. If you want the same warm friendly welcome you have come to expect at Brierholme then Glencoe is the way to go!
If you would prefer to be in a similar location to Brierholme or require parking we can also highly recommend Badgers Wood, Swiss Court, and Dunsford Guest House. All are within a few seconds walk of Brierholme and offer private parking.
If all of the above are unavailable then don't forget to always book direct. encourages visitors to book directly with guest houses and hotels, rather than using global online travel agents (saving yourself and the accommodation provider commission fees). By booking directly or via Visit Keswick the Lake District, you are guaranteed the best deal!
