This week at Grassmoor - We’ll be welcoming back BnB bookings from this week until the end of September. After redecorating the dining room over the Winter, we’ve only just got round to taking new photos 😱

We’ve got an excellent selection of homemade Jams, some are even homegrown, all are extra delicious, our cooked breakfasts are back on the menu, as well as scrumptious lighter options including Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, Avocado toast and poached eggs, Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, and Chicken and waffles with maple syrups… trust us, it’s delicious 😋

We’re really looking forward to welcoming back BnB bookings, after a bit of time just offering Room-Only, and In-Room continental basket breakfast - more on this in a future post.

This week at GrassmoorHQ we managed to find the time to enjoy some of the beautiful weather 🌞

We popped over to Crummock Water and took on one of our fav hikes for this time of year - up Whiteside edge to Hopegill Head and Sand Hill, returning via Whiteless Pike and a pit stop to enjoy the beautiful scene that is the Rannerdale Bluebells 🪻🪻🪻my photos don‘t really do it justice…

A stunning day, with a bitterly cold wind (which was not appreciated!) enjoying great views, great hiking, and a real feel good spot that everyone loves. A really enjoyable day… finished off with a pizza 🍕 and drinks 🍻at Woodstone - delicious.

Well, we’re back home 🥳 and while we had a wonderful time on our holibobs, we’re very happy to be back in Keswick 😊

The last few weeks we’ve been busily redecorating our self-catering dining room. We think it looks great 😍 painted in Farrow and Ball ‘Eating room red’, it creates a sumptuously indulgent feel from the heritage collection. We’ve used William Morris designs for the custom made table cloth, and used natural grasses to continue our Victorian theme of bringing natural inside, plus the new wall prints symbolise longevity and good fortune ☺️

It’s been a gloriously sunny few days here at GrassmoorHQ 🌞and Keswick is certainly looking beautiful with calm waters and the first few flowers popping their heads above ground 🌷😊

It’s been a busy, busy January at GrassmoorHQ catching up on some boring jobs about the place. 🤓

But more excitingly 🥳 … We’ve been planning a redecoration in the Self Catering dining room (our private living room), and the kitchen plus utility room. 🤩

We’ve chosen the colour… soon the hard work begins 😬 now… where’s my paint brush ?

Well, we’re finally home 😊

We had a great trip travelling around Cambodia and Vietnam - if ever you get the opportunity to visit Cambodia, grab the chance with both hands - it’s an amazing country, with beautiful people and a deep cultural history. Vietnam…? maybe not so much… 👀

We’ll be back open for Room-Only guests once we’ve recovered from jetlag, and had our Christmas at home. 🎄🎁🎉

Merry Christmas everyone - here we are 6000 miles away from our usual table in Packhorse for Christmas eve drinks ❤️

well, well, well… we’ve finally finished decorating the self catering living room (bnb dining room), just in time for the arrival of our self catered Christmas guests.

We think it looks much better, it’s so warm and inviting. Repainted in heritage indigo with highlights of plum and burnt orange, the fake cow skin rug and animal cushions are all in keeping with Grassmoors Victorian history… we love it, and we hope you do too 🥰
