Centrally located guest house offering BnB, room only stays, & self catering in Keswick.

Hello folks,

We know it’s been a while since we last posted, a couple of reasons for that.

First, over August we offered self catered holidays at Grassmoor while we took some time away.

Second, we’ve had some family things come up which have required and will require a lot of our attention over the coming weeks/months.

We’ll likely be staying a little quiet on social media, and we’ll be closing our calendar to new bookings to give us the time to be where we’re most needed.

Don’t worry though… we’re still here! 😊

well, it’s been a busy week ‘making hay while the sun shines‘ painting the front of the house… we have to say, we think it looks very smart, lots of cold drinks this afternoon to celebrate 🥳

We just have to order some new planters and maybe a few new plants and the front garden will be looking beautiful all round 😍

This week at Grassmoor we’re doing some work to the front of the house - after a long and very wet winter the paint and render started peeling and cracking away.

With the settled weather this week it’s the perfect opportunity to strip it back, seal, prime, and repaint - we’ll be looking beautiful again in no time 😊

We do love our fresh flowers at GrassmoorHQ, and we have to admit they’ve been missing for a while due to the price! But… this week, we’ve got a bunch of beautiful homegrown blooms Including roses, peony, lavender, eucalyptus and more… the hallway smells extra amazing 😁❤️

This week at Grassmoor - We’ll be welcoming back BnB bookings from this week until the end of September. After redecorating the dining room over the Winter, we’ve only just got round to taking new photos 😱

We’ve got an excellent selection of homemade Jams, some are even homegrown, all are extra delicious, our cooked breakfasts are back on the menu, as well as scrumptious lighter options including Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, Avocado toast and poached eggs, Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, and Chicken and waffles with maple syrups… trust us, it’s delicious 😋

We’re really looking forward to welcoming back BnB bookings, after a bit of time just offering Room-Only, and In-Room continental basket breakfast - more on this in a future post.

This week at GrassmoorHQ we managed to find the time to enjoy some of the beautiful weather 🌞

We popped over to Crummock Water and took on one of our fav hikes for this time of year - up Whiteside edge to Hopegill Head and Sand Hill, returning via Whiteless Pike and a pit stop to enjoy the beautiful scene that is the Rannerdale Bluebells 🪻🪻🪻my photos don‘t really do it justice…

A stunning day, with a bitterly cold wind (which was not appreciated!) enjoying great views, great hiking, and a real feel good spot that everyone loves. A really enjoyable day… finished off with a pizza 🍕 and drinks 🍻at Woodstone - delicious.
