Dancing Gate - a holiday cottage in Keswick, The Lake District Dancing Gate is a beautiful house situated on our working farm, where families and friends can get together and enjoy all that the Lake District has to offer.

This large, comfortable house is cosy, yet spacious and has the most amazing views. The cottage stands has its own enclosed garden vand has magnificent views towards the Grizedale and Causey Pike ranges, Newlands valley, Borrowdale, Cat Bells, Walla Crag and the Helvellyn range. There is ample private car parking for guests adjacent to the house. Dancing Gate is a totally non-smoking establishment

. Dogs are most welcome but please be sure to read the terms & conditions below. There are also several pleasant walks nearby. We can also offer secure storage for cycles for those who wish to bring their own, although Keswick does have several mountain bike hire shops. Excellent golf courses are within easy driving distance. Terms and Conditions for Guests with Dogs
1. Please let us know in advance that you are bringing a dog.
2. Dogs to be kept under close control in and around the cottage as we are part of a working
Farm.
3. Please provide appropriate sleeping materials, although we do have these available on request.
4. Please towel dogs dry if excessively wet or muddy (towels available on request and there is a hosepipe in the farmyard
5. Dogs should not be allowed on or in the beds.
6. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the property at any time unless by prior approval
7. All breakages/damages to furnishings and excess cleaning charges will be invoiced to the booking address. Dancing Gate is a dog-friendly holiday house with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping up to 7 adults plus an extra bed suitable for children. We are ideally situated for those who wish to walk the beautiful Lakeland Fells. This is an ideal location from which to explore the northern areas of the Lake District National Park, or you can travel just a little further and visit places such as Carlisle and its historic castle, Hadrian's Wall, the Solway Coast or the Lake District peninsulas.

Book out our exclusive picnic spot in the heart of Buttermere for £25 and you (and up to 7 friends or family members) can enjoy close encounters with our friendly rare breed Bagot and Royal Golden Guernsey goats whilst taking in the stunning views and enjoying some peace & quiet - plus we have 6 kids (baby goats) to keep you entertained!
