🥣🍌 Would this be your kind of breakfast?

Lucy, owner of The Edwardene, loves experimenting with new and adventurous breakfast recipes. Her latest idea is a bowl of warming spiced porridge topped with sweet caramelised bananas—perfect for a cosy start to the day.

Porridge is a wholesome and satisfying breakfast, bananas provide fibre and potassium, and ginger reduces inflammation. Add those comforting spices and caramelised flavours, and this could be a delicious new addition to our breakfast menu.

Would you try it on your next stay? Let us know in the comments! ✨

Our owner Lucy ate out a couple of weeks ago at Derwent Walker Café Bar and Restaurant and she was not disappointed! Lucy had the Lamb Canon followed by the Berry Crumble - both dishes were absolutely delicious!

We’re proud to celebrate local restaurants that bring great food, warm hospitality and community spirit to our area.

We recommend you give them a try!
