Castlerigg Farm is in a particular beautiful part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, an ideal location for walking and relaxing. With exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells, the site looks down towards Derwent Water and in the distance Bassenthwaite Lake. Keswick town is aprox 25 minute walk down through the woods or a 5 minute drive by car. We have a rul

e of no noise after 10.30pm. Consideration for other campers is welcome. Please see the Rules and Site Information for more information.

We are excited to be able to offer the static caravan for future stays.
The static consists of 2 bedrooms suitable for families and couples.
The main bedroom is en-suite with it own W/C and sink, double bed and TV
The second bedroom consists of 2 single beds ( please note the mattresses in this room are only 28 inches wide)
A separate bathroom with a W/C, shower and sink.
Fully equipped kitchen/ dinner
Separate living room with TV and electric fire.
The static caravan is has full central heating.
All bedding and towels are provided.
Dogs are not permitted.

Thank you Ben Coppard for these amazing drone shots, you can really start to see what it will look like once its finished, the new turf looks great, can’t wait until it all looks like that. Just over 3 weeks until opening, these pitches will be finished by then (🤞) but won’t be ready for guest until around May once the turf has had time to take.

We reopen in 4 weeks 😀. Still a lot to do but it’s coming along nicely. If anyone can control the weather we really need a week - 10 days of dry weather to finish off, this winter has been the wettest we have had for a very long time, typical!

There is some turf coming today once it is put down it will look so much better with a bit of colour

Due to the number of new pitches we had to apply for a new mains electric cable to supply these pitches. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like this is going to be installed now until July, in the meantime we will offer these pitches as not electric hardstanding once they are presentable and ready to go.

Look at pitches 7-12 with their new turf 😀.

As many of you know Tour De France is coming to Keswick in 2027, we are very excited, who knows maybe all the pot holes ...

As many of you know Tour De France is coming to Keswick in 2027, we are very excited, who knows maybe all the pot holes will be filled in 🤪.

We have been inundated with emails from people wanting to book in for this time.
We have not opened next year availability calendar as of yet, it will be open later in the year.
We will post it here as soon as we have opened it. Keep a look out 👀

Winter is here!!

It’s a beautiful day, the sun is shining, it feels odd not having any customers on site, not having to spend hours defrosting things and gritting the lane.

The light covering of snow and -2 temperatures doesn’t stop work. We can’t wait for the end result, as they say ‘it looks worse before it gets better’
