Just blown away by the gawjus couple Karsten and Gabby who have been staying here for 2 weeks. Completely threw themselves into their time in the Lakes: hiring bikes, trying all restaurant recommendations and out walking and hiking every day. And then kindly got a ‘thank you’ for my beloved pooches and myself and the team when they left. Times like this when I realise how lucky I am with my guests. Thank you 🥰

Sharing my fish and chips with omy two scally-wags at Allonby Beach. Life is good 😊

Collected our supper en-route from Cross Quays Fish Shop in Maryport and had my first ‘patty’ which was absolutely gawjus 😋😋😋. Chips were really good too.

Allonby is about 40mins drive from Maple Bank Guest House with a fabulous long beach - especially when the tide is out - perfect for the dogs to run on. And if you come here during the day then you can end your walk with a sandwich or soup at Seaglass Coffee Allonby
