As I prepare for our last guests today, I’m feeling so thankful for the opportunity to run the cottage as a holiday let and share this place with so many beautiful people from all over the world over the past five years… ❤️🌏

Thanks to everyone who come to stay, play, write, and rest - I’ve enjoyed meeting every last one of you!

Thank you for all the people who have suppprted me in running the cottage, especially James, who always has my back. And my daughter Roan who used her creative flare to ready the place for guests. Also much thanks to Monika, Philip and Stephen for helping me keep the place shipshape over the years!

Thanks to the local businesses and restaurants who provide such a draw to Killyleagh, including , , Strangford Lough Activity Centre, Krust Café, Cafe Velo of Killyleagh and , to name a few!

The next chapter for the cottage is to welcome a dear family member who will soon be calling the place home ❤️

I hope you find other quiet places to be in this lovely area and continue to enjoy all that Killyleagh and Strangford Lough have to offer.

We’ve loved having beautiful red cups brightening up the kitchen cupboards since we opened back in 2019.

I’m now delighted to stock them (and a few other pieces) for guests to take home. 🎉🍀

We will be aiming to sell more of the local craft and art found within the cottage from my studio, which is in the stable building below the cottage.

For now these will be offered only to guests staying in Fishers Cottage, but it’s making me have very happy, and something I will hope to build upon… 🌱☀️

A wee quiet place to rest… my Granny’s armchair beautifully restored by and settled back into Fishers Cottage in time for our guests arriving today 💚🍀

And to Richard Gilles who restored this beautiful vintage wardrobe all the way from Newry - Richard’s workshop is just up the road in Whiterock. 🤩
