CAN YOU CAST YOUR VOTE!?

A rare request from us but we wondered if our followers would consider voting for the Hawkstone Farmers Choir during this Saturday night’s (30 May) Britain’s Got Talent live finals!

Our lovely friends, Ali and Flo Dawes are taking part, and they and their fellow choir members will be singing their hearts out in an effort to win! If they do, a large proportion of their prize money will go to rural mental health charities. I know many of our guests at Pardlestone Farm work on the land, whether with horses or livestock, and many will have first-hand experience of the grind, the loneliness and the sheer graft of farming. Yes, we know there are wealthy farmers but many more – as well as farm workers – are struggling to deal with the exhausting challenges farming can throw at them. Sadly, there’s a reason why UK agriculture sees three people take their own lives every week.

In these uncertain times, we hope you’d like to support the people who put food on our plates, and a vote for the Hawkstone Choir on Saturday night (MUST BE DURING THE LIVE EVENT) is one way of doing so!

MAY AND JUNE DATES AVAILABLE - PARDLESTONE FARM!

🐴🐾 We have two dates available for May and June 🐴🐾

We’ve reduced the price of our remaining May date and added a three-day option for this as it’s a last-minute booking.

Mon or Tues, 18 or 19 May: 3 nights, £399; 4 nights, now reduced to £426.

We’ve also had a cancellation in June which has left both our cottages free at the same time, so opening up availability to a larger group if both cottages are booked. The date is:

Mon 8 June: 4 nights, £496.

Each cottage sleeps up to four people; Groom’s Cottage in two double bedrooms and The Pony Barn in a superking bedroom (or splits into two singles) plus a sofabed in the living room.

The cottages at Pardlestone Farm are only a half-mile walk from an award-winning pub (serves fabulous food!), have immediate access to hours of off-road riding or walking in Somerset’s Quantock Hills (AONB), while the Jurassic coast at Kilve is less than two miles away. Horses and dogs are welcome.

NEW DATES AVAILABLE!
We’ve had lots of changes and a few cancelled bookings over the last few days and now have the following dates over the next couple of months available in our cottages.

18 May (Mon to Fri)
4 nights - £492

8 June (Mon to Fri)
4 nights - £496

These dates are both in Groom’s Cottage (sleeps 4 in 2 doubles). We also now have some July and August dates in both the Pony Barn (sleeps 2 + 2 if sofabed is used) and Groom’s.

APRIL WEEKEND CANCELLATION – EASTER HOLIDAYS!
BARN CONVERSION IN SOMERSET’S QUANTOCK HILLS
HORSES AND DOGS WELCOME

Just a quick note to say we’ve had our first cancellation of the year and our gorgeous Pony Barn @ Pardlestone Farm is now available the weekend after next. Because it’s last-minute, we’re offering it as either a two- or three-night booking from 10 or 11 April. Horses and dogs are welcome and we have stabling and plenty of turnout. We’re in Somerset’s Quantock Hills so have fabulous walking, riding or even mountain biking from our doorstep. And we’re also within walking distance of an award-winning, dog-friendly pub, and the stunning Jurassic coast at Kilve. For those not riding or walking, there are endless places to visit across West Somerset, including pretty harbours, castles, picture-postcard villages and England’s longest heritage steam train line.

The Pony Barn is beautifully appointed with stone floors, superking Hypnos bed (which splits into two singles if preferred), en suite bathroom, sofabed in the living room, second bathroom, satellite wi-fi, underfloor heating and much more! Prices are £320 for two nights or £384 for three nights for up to four people.
