Was lucky to have a great week weather wise last week, plenty of time getting a "stiff neck" looking for fossils on the beach! These are what we found, not fossils but of interest to us, can anyone tell us what the "brown lump" is with all the bits in it? Thanks all

Well, we're already 5 weeks into 2026, time is already flying! Here at Seagull cottage Hunstanton we offer breaks with no minimum or Monday/Friday restrictions which means you can come for as long as you like on whatever day you like, short stays do tend to be a bit expensive as we still have to pay £120 housekeeping regardless of the length of time or how many people there are, not sure why Airbnb says £90! We have a private parking space at the rear albeit a bit "tight"! We also offer free parking for 1 vehicle at the Southend Road car park across the road for the duration of your stay and have a small dog friendly fully enclosed yard. Never really considered what old piers are are built on before but looks like they're on huge "ground screws" See them used for garden buildings nowadays as saves on foundations,thought they were a new "invention" obviously not!

Well good news, apparently RSPB Snettisham has loads of them! why not book a stay at Seagull cottage Hunstanton, just a short drive from Snettisham where you can view the spectacular flocks of waders and wildfowl over the winter months, you can even bring "rover" with you (and/or your better half) to keep you company on those cosy winter nights 🌙 🐕🔥
