Weekend ideas near Pinecones

Looking for something to do while staying at Pinecones this weekend?
The forecast is looking lovely: sunny intervals around 21°C on Saturday and warm sunshine up to 26°C on Sunday. It may be breezy, so Sunday currently looks ideal for a trip to the coast.
• North Norfolk Food & Drink Festival - Holkham's Walled Garden welcomes around 65 local producers on Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4pm. Entry is free, parking is £6.50 and dogs are welcome on leads.
• Walk or cycle to Sandringham - Pick up one of our route maps and enjoy the woodland journey from Pinecones. The Royal Parkland, children's play area and courtyard are free and dog-friendly. The House is open 10am-4pm and Gardens 9.30am-5pm; children aged 16 and under enter free.
• Sandringham parkrun - Start Saturday with the free 5km parkrun through the Royal Parkland at 9am. Register beforehand and remember your barcode.
• Sunday beach day at Brancaster - Most of this beautiful beach welcomes dogs, although the fenced eastern section remains dog-free during summer. Take water, sun cream and check local signs.
• Snettisham Park Farm - A great family day out with animals, feeding activities, walking trails and deer safaris. Open 10am-4pm both days. Dogs are welcome on leads around the farmyard and trails, but not on the safari.
• Quiet at SEA LIFE Hunstanton - Sunday's final opening hour is a quieter sensory session, with centre music and televisions switched off. Advance online booking is essential.
• Explore by bus - Coastliner 36 runs from Dersingham to Hunstanton, Titchwell, Burnham Market and Wells-next-the-Sea, making it easy to enjoy the coast without taking the car.

Pinecones weekend ideas: 29–31 August

The forecast is warm but changeable, around 21–22°C with showers and brisk winds. Sunday currently looks best for longer outdoor trips. Check the latest Met Office forecast⁠.

* Walk or cycle to Sandringham – Follow one of our route maps through the woods. Dogs are welcome in the 600-acre Royal Parkland and courtyard; the House is open 10am–4pm and Gardens 9.30am–5pm, but dogs cannot enter either. Opening details⁠
* Explore RSPB Snettisham – A peaceful coastal walk with excellent birdwatching. Allow at least 20 minutes from the car park to the sea wall, or arrive by bike for free. Take waterproofs and binoculars. Visitor information⁠
* Hunstanton by bus – Catch the Coastliner 36 from Dersingham for the promenade, cliffs and seaside attractions. On Sunday there is free music at the bandstand from 2pm–4pm. Dogs are excluded from the main beach during summer, so follow local signs. Bus timetable⁠ | Hunstanton events⁠
