A note from The Cottage Hotel, Hope Cove
We are pleased to share the news that The Cottage Hotel has changed hands.
After many happy years at the helm, William and Sarah Ireland have passed the hotel into the ownership of Beach Barefoot Hospitality. It is a moment of change, but a gentle one: everything that makes The Cottage the place our guests return to year after year remains firmly in place.
The hotel is trading exactly as before. All bookings are confirmed as arranged and are entirely unaffected. The team you know is here as always, and the kitchen, bar, and terrace continue just as they have. Guests arriving this season will find the same house, the same faces, and the same warm welcome.
We are also very glad to say that the Ireland family are working alongside the new owners, advising them through this period. As they will remain here in the village, we have no doubt they will be a familiar sight around Hope Cove.
The new owners take on The Cottage with great affection and respect for what it is and every intention of looking after it well. Their care is for the hotel's traditions, its setting above the cove, and, above all, its guests, and colleagues.

Supporting Our Local Community ❤️

We are delighted to share that proceeds from the sale of William Ireland's book, "A Good Scrap I Fear!", have been used to support two wonderful local causes.

Thanks to the book's success, donations of £750 each have been presented to:

🚤 Hope Cove Lifeboat
🌊 Friends of Hope Cove Harbour Breakwater Fund

These fantastic organisations play an important role in protecting and preserving our coastal community and we are proud that the book has helped contribute to their valuable work.
