Karrageen is situated in a beautiful valley surrounded by National Trust protected coastline on the southern tip of Devon. The pretty fishing village of Hope Cove, with its sandy beaches and rock pools is just one mile down the lane. Four miles away is the sailing Mecca of Salcombe, often described as the most beautiful estuary in England. If peace and tranquillity is what you are looking for then

that is exactly what Karrageen offers. We do not have a club or bar or children’s playground but we do offer a well stocked shop with freshly cooked baguettes and croissants daily, a delicious hot, takeaway menu and plenty of space for children to play happily and safely. We have facilities for touring caravans, motor caravans, and tents of all shapes and sizes. We take booking for these pitches and recommend that you book ahead especially in the school holidays as we are not a large park and are usually full during these periods. We do our utmost to ensure that your stay with us is an enjoyable experience which many of our guests like to repeat every year.

This is Tom, he’s one of the chief faces here at Karrageen our family-run caravan and camping park :) You’ll find him greeting you, baking croissants, fixing problems, cooking pizzas and attending to all your needs.

If you’re planning to stay at Karrageen Campsite in Hope Cove this weekend, fancy a trip for some live music?

The campsite is a great base for enjoying the coastal scenery, beach walks and peaceful atmosphere of the South Devon coastline.

We’ve been busy preparing one of our most scenic camping areas for the season ahead — freshly cut grass, wide open space, sea views, and those peaceful South Devon sunsets that never get old.

Our Top Field will be open:

📅 18th July – 1st September

Perfect for campers, touring guests, families, and anyone wanting to switch off and enjoy the coast, countryside, and fresh air. ⛺
