The Priory Church in Leominster, a beautiful place to visit at any time, but with the added bonus of this wonderful sculpture.

**SOMETHING MORE UNUSUAL**

If you've been to the beautiful Leominster Priory recently you may have noticed a very interesting sculpture currently on display. The Last Supper by Peter Barnes was inspired by Leonardo De Vinci's painting.

But if you get closer to the sculpture you will notice that this is not your conventional mosaic finish. It is in fact made up from the letters, numbers and symbols from computer keyboards. Peter estimates that he used in excess of 50,000 keys.

This lovely sculpture is making a pilgrimage of the Cathedrals and large churches in the UK and will be at the Priory for another couple of months. So if you're in Leominster pop by and take a look for yourself.

Really looking forward to seeing this

There's plenty of reasons why we're excited to be welcoming visitors back to our county in the coming months, but one of particular importance is the arrival of Knife Angel Hereford. The Knife Angel is an incredible 27ft, 3.5 ton, sculpture of an angel made out of 100,000 confiscated knives received from 43 Police Forces across the UK.

The angel is due to be hosted by the magnificent Hereford Cathedral in June of this year for 28 days and alongside it we'll also welcome a series of public events, conferences and a local knife amnesty.

The statue is a vision of hope for a safer world and the fact that it visits us in the summer of hope that we're all so looking forward to is a wonderful coincidence.

**Through the Wardrobe Update**

Mr Tumnus, The White Witch, Aslan, Mr and Mrs Beaver and all the other characters from the other side of the wardrobe are so sorry that they will not be able to open the magic doors this year.

While we all wait for the wardrobe to open again, Leominster Town Council would like to invite the children of Leominster to come and see the enchanted winter land recreated in the windows of Leominster Tourist Information Centre. The scenes will change each week through December and we hope you will recognise some of the scenes from your previous travels through Narnia. Mr and Mrs Beaver have promised that you can have a proper look inside their house this year!

The window displays will start at the end of November and will change every week until Christmas. Watch out for surprise appearances...
