Whole lamb from Whitedale Cottage Farm Shop stuffed with wine soaked bread, onions, garlic, herbs and veg, stitched up by Darn Right and slowly barbecued on a homemade spit at Blue Hall Estate ... a truly delicious birthday party!!

It's all about the birds this week... we appear to have 2 pairs of Greylag geese loitering loudly around the front pond....

It's all about the birds this week... we appear to have 2 pairs of Greylag geese loitering loudly around the front pond. They have been happily honking and annoying the resident rabbits.

Meanwhile, in the house we have successfully hatched 4 chicks! Not sure if any late comers will add to their numbers but it is a good start 🐣🐥🐤🐓 (sleeping with the cheeping is a challenge 😴).

The wild birds round the back are impressed with their new squirrel defence. Pics soon!

100 hedgerow plants along a 20m stretch, a mix of bird friendly and foraging. Just need to transplant some of the self seeded blackthorn to fill in the gaps.

Stock fencing repaired and the horse in the neighbouring field is extremely happy to be hand fed some of our lush grass! 🌱🐴
