Our partnership with Hull Animal Welfare Trust is particularly close to home for our Accounts Administrator, Gemma 🐾

Gemma adopted Nova from the charity in 2022 after a difficult start to her life.

Four years later, Nova is a much-loved member of the family (and apparently the rightful owner of most of the sofa!).

We caught up with Gemma about their story, her experience of adopting through the Trust and why supporting its work means so much to her 💙

A day at the races! 🏇🥂

We had a fantastic time at York Races with Wainwrights last week!

It was a brilliant day of racing, great company and a lovely opportunity to catch up away from the usual day-to-day.

A huge thank you to the Wainwrights team for the invitation and for bringing everyone together. It's always great to spend time with the people we work alongside in a more relaxed setting.

Congratulations to our competition winner, Hayley Riley and the very handsome Mr Goose… or Goosey Gander… or Bruce Spruce… or, as he’s now known, Gunth! 😂🐾

Hayley’s entry was randomly selected as our winner, taking home a £20 Amazon voucher 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and shared their pets’ many, many nicknames with us. We loved reading them.

The competition was a bit of fun, but it was also another opportunity for us to get people talking about Hull Animal Welfare Trust and the wonderful work they do caring for animals in need.

We’re proud to support the charity throughout our partnership and help raise awareness of their work along the way. 💚

Building better communities, one paw at a time. 🐾

September has been all about giving a little something back. 🐾

As part of our charity partnership with Hull Animal Welfare Trust, the Pure Block Management team has been collecting food, blankets, toys and other much-needed supplies throughout the month to support the animals in their care.

A fantastic effort from the Pure Block Management team and a special thank you to PIB Insurance Brokers, Willow Pumps Limited, Head-on Electrical Ltd and Sharpe Maintenance Services , who donated to the collection.

We hope there’s plenty of wagging tails as a result! 🐶🐱

Just a little something to help build better communities, one paw at a time.

Good block management takes a wide range of skills and expertise, and strong financial management is a vital part of keeping developments running effectively and sustainably.

After more than 20 years working in residential property and sales, Sam Baldwin brought her industry experience to a new challenge within our accounts team.

We caught up with Sam to hear what she’s learned, what’s stood out about Pure Block Management and why the financial side of property management matters so much.

We’re incredibly proud of George. A very well-deserved place in this year’s Top 30 Under 30! 🎉

From emergency call-out to a long-term solution 🌧️ 🏠

Last year, heavy rainfall caused significant water ingress at one of the developments we manage, requiring an out-of-hours response from our team (including our Director, Liam, fishing a dead bird out of the gutter) to prevent further damage and protect residents.

We’re pleased to now see the project complete following extensive roof and guttering works. Working with roofing contractor Jennings Roofing, to leave the building secure and watertight for the future.

From responding when problems first arise to coordinating the work needed to put them right in the long term, our team always focuses on proactive block management. Even if it means dropping everything and getting your hands dirty.

A distinction for Gemma! 👏🎓

A huge congratulations to our Accounts Administrator, Gemma Todd, who has completed her AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting apprenticeship with a Distinction.

The programme is designed to build practical accounting knowledge alongside confidence and career capability, making this a fantastic achievement and another step in Gemma’s professional development.

And there’s more learning happening across PBM, with three other members of our team currently undertaking apprenticeships as we continue to invest in developing the skills and expertise within our team.

To mark Gemma’s achievement, The Apprentice Academy will also plant five trees in her honour.

Well done, Gemma. Thoroughly deserved! 💙
