Hello 2019,
Am I still here!! well we know what the alternative is and that is being forever somewhere else, where it is cold, so never mind, being in 2019 is best. Yes Acorn is surviving but only just, where is everybody, Oh! I know, they are in the hotels at £ 20 per day.
Sorry that I cannot do that, I would rather be empty than attract the wrong sort of customer that doesn't recognise a quality place with a fair price. Hello all you out there that know me as a friend and neighbour or a relative. I wish you all a very " Happy New Year". Stay safe and, Come up and see me sometime. That sounds familiar.

Well it has been a long time, not writing a post but serving breakfast 7 days a week for 26 and a half years. Where has my life gone, where has Janet gone, I am a different person, the real Janet disappeared years ago. It has been " The Good Life", not that we planned going down this route but now I want a different route and a different life for me and Stuart. Rebekah will make her own life and we will be there all the way. I want to fly, I want to see the world. I will make this new life for us but I shall just have to wait a little bit longer as my responsibilities are still with me ( for the moment ). Janet ###x

My Story

Acorn Guest House is a quality 4 star bed and breakfast serving the community for 27 years. Seven en suite rooms with all the amenities of a small hotel. Fridge and microwaves in all rooms and FREE WiFi. Large car park to the front and a huge garden to the rear. We have done plenty of upgrades over the years now it is time for someone to take it to the next level.

Looking now to retire !!! as if ! but I would like to travel but maybe more so when the old dogs have gone to “ Devon “. You never really retire you just do more of the things you want to do.

I love gardening and growing fruit and vegetables, I could do it all day if I wasn’t working at the guest house. Then when the horrible dark winter days come we could go to the sunshine for 3 months. I would love that but it takes time to plan. Also, and, I would like to write a book, do more poetry and learn to cook more ethnic dishes, I can cook quite well but nothing fancy. I am not wanting for much, just want to flutter about from one thing to another like a butterfly. Time for tea, continuation soon``~~~~~``.
