What a lovely review to receive ❤️
Charlotte visited us for lunch yesterday with her daughter and left us this gorgeous review. Thank you so much, Charlotte. We’re so pleased you both enjoyed your visit and felt so welcome.
And we have to mention the fish! 🐟 She described our fish and chips as “probably one of the best I’ve tried from a cafe/restaurant setting” which made us very happy.
If you didn’t already know, all the fish we serve at Ginger’s comes from our family business, Chester’s Fish & Chips Chesters Fish&Chips , just down the road. So there’s a little bit of Chester’s on the Ginger’s menu too!
Unfortunately, today didn’t quite go to plan. With Lauren away on holiday and a member of staff ringing in sick, Mr “Ginger” stepped in to help me this morning. But being Friday, he was then needed back at Chester’s for Fish Friday, which meant we had no option but to close Ginger’s at 11am.
That’s the reality of running small family businesses sometimes. You juggle, you move people around, you do what you can and occasionally you simply can’t make everything work.
We’re really sorry to anyone who was disappointed today and thank you, as always, for understanding and supporting us. ❤️
The good news is we’re back open as normal tomorrow and we’d love to see you over the weekend.
And Charlotte, we’ll be ready when you come back to work your way through the rest of the menu! 😂❤️
