If you are having a drive out in the Yorkshire area and want a bit of a special Sunday lunch ❤️

We have been getting amazing feedback on our Sunday lunch service 😀

Proper local meat, homemade yorkies, stuffing on every meat choice, the cheesiest cauliflower, crispy roasties,(and new addition of potato Millefuille!😍), topped with gravy that’s been preparing for days

😈 Ever heard the saying, “Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t”?

We’re now in our 4th year Field House Farm Yorkshire, and we’re incredibly fortunate to welcome so many returning guests.
More and more of you are booking directly with us, which is absolutely fantastic and genuinely appreciated. ❤️

However, particularly during our early years, the larger holiday-booking platforms have played an important part in helping new guests discover our cottages.
For the past three years, we’ve worked with Cottages.com—and it’s fair to say there have been plenty of ups, downs and teething problems… to the point where we’ve almost got no teeth 😬 left! 😂

Having reached the end of our tether, we decided to move to holidaycottages.co.uk. Unfortunately, we soon felt as though we’d jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire! 🔥

So, after careful consideration, we’ve decided to remain with Cottages.com.

If you’d like to stay with us but prefer the reassurance or convenience of booking through a larger website, you’ll continue to find all three Field House Farm cottages listed with Cottages.com.

Of course, you can still contact us directly for our best available prices and a more personal booking experience. 🏡🫶

Please be reassured that all existing bookings made through either company will be honoured in full, so nobody’s holiday will be affected.

🌧️🍂 Nobody really likes the rain… but we definitely needed it!

As we transition into autumn, there’s one big positive from all that recent rain — the countryside is green again! 💚🌿

The grass has bounced back, the paddocks are looking lovely and Field House Farm is still looking pretty good as we head into one of our favourite times of year. 🐴🏡

There’s something rather nice about an autumn countryside break… crisp walks, cosy cottages and, of course, a warm hot tub waiting for you when you get back. ♨️🍁

🌾 Harvest time in East Yorkshire 🌾

I took this photo this morning while walking along the old railway line, part of the Trans Pennine Trail, just near the cottages Field House Farm Yorkshire with the 🐕 🐕

I love ❤️ this time of year. There’s something about seeing the fields freshly harvested and the bales stacked that reminds you another full cycle has come around. 🚜🌾

So much happens between each harvest — seasons change, plans are made, challenges come and go, and before you know it, another year has passed.

For me, harvest always feels like a natural time to reflect on what’s happened, appreciate where you are, and look forward to what comes next. ❤️

And when you stay at Field House Farm Yorkshire, these countryside views, walks and changing seasons are right on the doorstep.
