Right β€” here's a thought for the sunny Sundays.

Some days it's just too nice to be sat inside for another roast. So when the weather's with us, here's the idea: we throw open the decking and fire up the barbecue instead.

Steak and chimichurri. Proper sandwiches. A cheeky Aperol spritz bar out in the sun.

Same Oliver Twistz β€” just outside, for the Sundays too good to waste indoors.

Been a lot going on at the Inn lately.

Three of the four rooms are done. People are already staying in them. The feedback's been better than we hoped.

Fourth one β€” top floor, the big one β€” done in the next couple of weeks. Wallpaper that cost more than we'll admit to. Charlene picked it. She did well.

That's upstairs. Downstairs has been ready since day one β€” that bit's all Jamie.

Friday 30 May is the only sitting left miss it, and the next taster menu is another month away.

Saturday filled up in rapid time.

Every night this week we'll show you two courses.

By Thursday you'll have seen the whole card.

By Friday you'll wish you'd booked on Tuesday.

Here's how it opens.

🐟 Course one β€” smoked salmon, watermelon, whipped feta, bread crisps, orange gel. Sharp, cold, clean. Wakes the palate up.

🦐 Course two β€” king prawns, tomato, pancetta, confit garlic, tagliatelle. The one that makes the room go quiet.
