Dearest friends and customers in Kinross and beyond,
Since 1721, we have had the privilege of serving the Kinross community — with distinguished visitors including the Duc de Aumale in 1860.
Our building has stood as a witness to the many changes in the town and surrounding areas, always adapting to meet the needs of modern society.
This past year, while our pub had to close its doors, our Inn has remained open, continuing to welcome guests.
Naturally, with such changes, there have been many rumours about the future of our beloved Kinross Salutation.
As custodians of this historic building, we believe it is vital that it continues to serve the people of Kinross and neighbouring villages in a meaningful way.
With that in mind, we are delighted to announce the next chapter: The Inn @ Oliver Twistz.
Oliver Twistz has been delighting the people of Kirkcaldy since 2022, and now they feel the time is right to create a new home here in Kinross. They will be serving mouthwatering dishes paired with carefully chosen wines — and, of course, offering rooms for guests to stay.
We are very excited to see what Jamie Watson and Greg Wallace will bring to the table, and we wish them every success in serving the people of Kinross.
With best wishes and fond farewell,
The Kinross Salutation Inn
P.S We would be extremely grateful if you could share with us any past photos of the Salutation, as a souvenir.
