Ready to lace up your boots? September is the perfect time to take on Nine Standards Rigg, one of the classic walks right from our doorstep here in Kirkby Stephen! 🌿
With 9 miles / 14.4km of wild terrain, 486m of climb and incredible panoramic views across the Eden Valley, the Howgills and the Lakeland fells, this is a challenging walk that’s definitely worth the effort. 🏔️✨
Expect boggy ground, wet paths and some erosion / so sturdy walking boots are a must! 🥾

⛰️ Difficulty: Difficult

From Alston, England’s highest market town, through the North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District,
and across the incredible expanse of Morecambe Bay, this brand-new trail is set to become a must-do for walkers. 🥾

They’re taking on the incredible challenge of walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats – an epic journey of over 1,200 miles on foot! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
