Not everyone likes fireworks this time of year… especially our four-legged friends. So why not escape to one of our log cabins and take a peaceful “paws” (see what we did there 😜).

Some of our clever guests and thoughtful dog owners have already booked a break next week and over the weekend so their pups can enjoy some peace and quiet instead. 💛

While we can’t guarantee total silence, our remote location and no-fireworks site policy mean it’s usually a much calmer experience here — just birdsong, bubbling hot tubs and the crackle of a log fire.

Sunshine after the rain… and today The Lodges are absolutely glowing in the crisp Autumnal sun after a frosty misty start to the day... perfect!

Just a few days ago our guests were soaking in the hot tubs watching rainbows and exploring to witness local waterfalls spring to life — and now the skies have cleared to this perfect blue.

They say the sun always shines after the rain but here at The Lodges at Artlegarth we think some of the best moments come when the weather turns a little wild:

✨ A recent guest loved relaxing in the hot tub, listening to the patter of raindrops and watching a rainbow stretch across the surrounding countryside. Pure magic.
✨ Cautley Spout is even more spectacular after rainfall — the cascades roar to life, and it’s a breathtaking sight to see, located just minutes from your lodge.
✨ Our log cabins are the perfect cosy retreat — light the fire, pour a glass of wine, cook a roast dinner and watch the rain roll across the fells from the floor to ceiling windows.
✨ Wildlife thrives in the rain — keep an eye out for deer, red squirrels, and birds splashing happily in the fresh puddles.
✨ And when the showers do finally pass, as they always do, the skies often clear to reveal some of the most dramatic sunsets and starry nights you’ll ever see.
