Come along and celebrate Kirriemuir! 🌟

Tomorrow sees a day of celebrations for our ‘wee red toon’ and we’re very excited for it! The Celebrate Kirriemuir group have organised a fun filled day of entertainment, live music, story telling, fun and games, all taking part throughout the town to showcase what a wonderful place it is! There will be also be a re-enactment by Knights of Monymusk group up on Kirrie Hill, doors open access to several prominent buildings within the town, including St Marys Episcopal Church, Tayside Police Museum Kirriemuir and JM Barrie’s Birthplace via National Trust for Scotland.

It's Monday again and we are left wondering just where the weekend went?!
We did manage to enjoy a visit to the lovely The Bothy Experience on Sunday though, which was very much enjoyed. ✨️

Located in the historical village of Glamis, The Bothy Experience is home to the award winning spirits from The Gin Bothy and the perfect place for a warming cup of coffee, a delicious hot chocolate or something a bit stronger! 🍸 You can also enjoy a browse in their larder shop or indulge in some gin tasting!

They are open Thursday to Sunday and are dog friendly too! 🐾

There’s so much to see and do in and around Kirriemuir. Enjoy a visit to the historical Glamis Castle, take a walk in the beautiful Angus Glens, discover all that the city of Dundee has to offer or spend a day at the award winning Lunan Bay beach.

In Kirriemuir you can visit the childhood home of playwright and author JM Barrie, which is looked after by the National Trust for Scotland, enjoy magnificent views over the town at the Kirriemuir Camera Obscura & Cafe Obscuraand enjoy a sweet treat at the Star Rock Shop Confectionery Shop, the oldest sweetie shop in Scotland.
