We're off for our annual solstice trip to watch the sun fall into the ocean.

Last year with the epic apple harvest we ended up with 90 bottles of apple juice, so they are now for sale the honesty shop.

We sort, wash and process the apples on the farm and the we get them pressed and bottled at a local care farm where all profits from the apple juice go to purchase wheelchairs and mobility aids for people in Kenya and South Africa.

We had a 2 hour thunder storm last night, the lightening was so bright and it went on for so long. This was the calm before the storm.

The farm smells incredible, apple blossom and the heady scent of hawthorn flowers.

The bees are buzzing, the birds never shut up (I mean are singing beautifully) and the evenings are long enough for chats around the firepit, feels like a skip and a jump to the summer solstice.

Welcome to proper Spring.

The tawny owl let us get really close to them on our walk the other day.

I love spring on the farm. It's so amazing.

We have been gifted a lovely profiling bed from one of our guests and a brand new mattress from another, feeling very lucky and thankful, we really do have the best guests!!

It has a new home in Dyffryn tent, we have switched the bedrooms over to make more room :)
