We are delighted to announce that this week we have completed the biggest project for Babbling Brook Cottage this year - upgrading the fencing for the dog field.

We've always wanted to separate the public footpath from the secure dog field, and now we're pleased to announce that this work is complete. If you aren't worried about the occasional walker passing through then you can leave the two gates open and use the whole field, but if you'd like to be sure you won't come nose to nose with another dog, then you can close the gates and enjoy a completely secure, private dog field.

The field is just a short walk from the cottage, and is all yours to enjoy anytime during your stay, If you'd like to take a closer look at the field, and the stunning valley view from the top, then please enjoy the quad bike tour of the field,!

Taking the opportunity to enjoy an early morning walk before it gets too hot at one of the places we recommend to guests. The riverside walk from Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron. It’s a lovely shady walk for the most part and the cafe at Llanerchaeron is a bonus, plus the dogs enjoy a paddle in what’s left of the river!!

A lovely evening stroll with the dogs along the coast path from Aberaeron towards New Quay. No dolphins 🐬 tonight. Maybe next time!
Chippy tea overlooking the beach, maybe an ice cream or a beer before we head home for the evening.

A lovely cool morning for a walk up the mountain this morning with the dogs. Yes, it’s a bit of a hill, but my… the views are worth the effort!

For those of you staying with us soon, please bear in mind that there are currently wild fires 🔥 north of us at the Elan Valley so it’s probably best to avoid that area for now.
