Friday’s here and adventure is calling!

Community and connection mean everything to us 💜

That’s why we’re so proud to support in Glasgow - a rugby club built on passion, teamwork, and the dedication of volunteers.

Andy, one of their amazing team managers, reached out with a simple but sincere request: a roof box to help him transport kit across Scotland to away games. From Dumfries to Aberdeen, it makes the journeys easier and the team better equipped.

Now, not only is the gear travelling safely and comfortably, but Andy has been promoting our small family business everywhere he goes, even with a big banner on every pitch 🏉✨

As the 2025/26 season kicks off, we’d like to wish Allan Glen’s RFC the very best of luck. We’ll be cheering you on as you take to the pitch! 🏉💙

A couple weeks ago we met a young and lovely couple who hired our 360L Thule medium roof box for their Honda CR-V.

What made their story extra special is that they were heading off all the way to Cornwall to camp in the car itself. The back had been carefully transformed into a cosy sleeper for two, complete with storage space under the “bed.” We were so curious to see how it all worked, and they were more than happy to show us.

What impressed us most is that the owner of the car had built the whole setup together with his dad. Practical, clever, and a little bit magical - a real home on wheels.

Postcard-perfect from the Isle of Coll

A huge thank you to our wonderful customers for sharing these beautiful views with us!

Nestled off the west coast of Mull, Coll is a hidden gem known for its 30+ pristine sandy beaches, flower-rich machair meadows, and tranquil vibes - ideal for escaping the busy world. It’s also Scotland’s first official Dark Sky island, offering some of the most spectacular stargazing you’ll find anywhere.

Despite its peacefulness, Coll bursts with life - birdwatchers may catch a glimpse or hear the elusive corncrake, while coastal waters are home to basking sharks, dolphins, otters, and more.

One of my favourite things about running Roof Box Hire Scotland 🚙✨ is not just making travel easier for our customers, but the stories that come with each journey.

Every week, I get to share in people’s adventures - asking about their destinations, their stops, and even which farm shops they’ll visit along the way. It’s such a joy hearing where the road takes everyone.

Last week alone, we’ve had customers returning from Aviemore and the NC500, heading off to Tiree, exploring York, and making their way down to Campbeltown. What an incredible mix of places! 🌍💙

We’ve been blessed with a wonderful summer here in Scotland, and August is shaping up beautifully. Wishing everyone safe travels and many more memories on the road before summer’s end.

How’s everyone enjoying their summer so far? ☀️
Here in Scotland, schools are back next week… but summer isn’t over yet!

This year we swapped our usual inland adventures for something more coastal - and, it was magical! We even saw dolphins at Rosemarkie Beach! 🐬💙

Along the way we stumbled across so many gems worth sharing:
✨ - Pool House Historic Home & Café, Poolewe – fully loaded cheese toasties, melt-in-your-mouth Cullen Skink, and salmon perfection.
🌱 - Inverewe Gardens – a lifetime’s work bringing plants from around the globe into one lush, dreamlike space.
🏔 Loch Maree – stunning waters and breathtaking view we couldn’t resist pulling over for.
🏖 Big Sand Beach, Gairloch – yes, it rained… but the dramatic scenery was worth it and the kids loved every minute. nearby looked like a great spot to stay.
🌊 Ullapool – postcard-perfect coastal village with the best fish & chips at , plus epic views from Stac Pollaidh.
⚡ - G2 Zip Trek Adventure Park, Aviemore – 12 wires, 2 km, pure adrenaline through Scottish pine forest.
🐬 Rosemarkie Beach – clean, peaceful, and dolphin-approved. Cosy nearby is worth a stop.
🪑 Objet d’art Antiques, Dingwall – nearly came home with a gorgeous rocking chair… but no roof box this time (they were all booked out!). Proof that extra car space is a must on holiday. 🚗
☕ , Strathpeffer – warm atmosphere, superb service, and food that made us linger longer.
🏞 Little Garve – staying by the bridge & Black Water meant swimming, rock-jumping, and pure holiday bliss right on our doorstep.

Scotland really delivered this summer — and next time, I’ll be taking the roof box 😉.

Beyond the speeches, some of the most heartfelt and inspiring moments happened over coffee breaks, lunch, and evening drinks—genuine connections, shared experiences, and uplifting conversations that made this event truly special.
