Join us on Friday 29th May in the newly refurbished The Sandeman Bar at Lancaster House Hotel for a tasting evening like no other.

From 6.30pm, settle in with a welcome drink and canapés before working your way through a four-course tasting menu, with a different Sandeman Port paired to each plate.

The new menu is here at The Foodworks, and it's a good one.

Whether you're in the mood for something to share over a few drinks or a proper sit-down dinner, there's plenty to get excited about.

The Lune Valley Spring Lamb Rump with burnt cauliflower, broad beans and a braised lamb shoulder rissole is already turning heads, and the Five-Spice Duck Breast with torched chicory and poached rhubarb puree is one of those dishes that just works.

Not a meat eater? The Harissa-Marinated Cauliflower Steak with roast celeriac puree and crystallised hazelnuts is genuinely one of the best things on the menu.

If you're going with a group, start with the Tiger Prawns in wild garlic and jalapeño butter, the Confit Duck Bao Bun with kimchi ketchup, or the Twice-Baked Gruyère Soufflé. Then order the Garlic Parmesan Triple-Cooked Jenga Chips and don't share them with anyone.

For the full experience, the four-course tasting menu for two is £69, with optional wine pairing at £19 per person. It finishes with three cheeses and a glass of Sandeman Port, which is a pretty great way to end an evening.
