What a fantastic day we had yesterday at the Wray Scarecrow Festival and 10K race! 🌾🏃‍♂️

Just a short 20-minute drive from our site, it made the perfect family day out. There was so much to see and do – from the brilliant and creative scarecrows dotted all around the village, to the lively atmosphere of the race and all the stalls and activities.

The festival is running right through until Monday 4th May, with lots of different activities and events still to enjoy, so there’s plenty of time to visit if you’re staying with us!

It’s such a great event for all ages, and we loved soaking up the community spirit and sunshine ☀️

Here is a little glimpse of our day – definitely one to add to your list if you’re planning a trip!

Big news: the Tour de France Grand Départ is coming to the Lancaster district in July 2027! 🚴‍♂️✨

Stage two (Keswick → Liverpool) of the world’s greatest cycle race will power through Carnforth, Morecambe and Lancaster - a landmark moment that will put us firmly on the global stage.

Hosting part of the Grand Départ route is an extraordinary opportunity for our area - thousands of visitors, a boost for local businesses, and a significant lift for hospitality and tourism.

This is a once in a generation moment that will bring huge media coverage to put us on the world stage.
