The Garden Diaries 🍅🪴

In yesterday’s post, we showed you the beginnings of Northcote’s very own horticultural project and introduced you to the team who are keeping our greenhouse and gardens thriving in the summertime.

Since those photos were taken, the plants in the greenhouse have quadrupled in size! Here is Head Gardener Ciarán to explain a few of the types of tomatoes we have growing and what else can be found in our, (currently very hot 🥵) greenhouse! 🌱

🌱 Something exciting is growing at Northcote...

We're embarking on one of the most ambitious horticultural projects in our history, with Chef Patron Director Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Head Gardener Ciarán and Assistant Gardener Marta working together to bring our gardens closer to the plate than ever before.

The first greenhouse-grown tomatoes and herbs are already finding their way into Lisa's dishes, with heritage fruits, edible flowers and kitchen gardens still to come. At the heart of it all is our new greenhouse, helping us grow, experiment and inspire future menus.
