Wow, what a couple of weeks we’ve had! We’ve had lots of questions on our recent posts, so we thought we’d tell you a little more about us.
We’re a fishing lake and campsite in Muchelney, Somerset. You’re welcome to join us for a day’s fishing, camp and fish, or simply come camping with no interest in fishing at all! If you’re local, you’re also welcome to enjoy a stroll around the lakes.
Our lake is stocked with carp, roach, bream, tench, eels and the odd goldfish. The biggest carp caught in the last year weighed 27lb! Fishing is currently £10 for a full day, or £8 for a half day, children and OAPs. Our prices will be changing in the new year.
One of the things we love about our lake is that everyone is welcome, whether you’re learning to fish or you’re a seasoned pro. We open at sunrise and close at the time displayed on the gate, usually 30–45 minutes before sunset. For fishing, just find your spot, set up and we’ll come round to see you. When the weather and ground conditions allow, you can drive to some areas of the bank to drop off your equipment.
