The first blustery day for weeks! Lots of pretty things to find in the meadow at Dod Mill - wildflowers, butterflies, a river and two very sweet ponies. This is the location of our Fishing Hut glamping cabin - our guests are all set for some mindful wanders through it all.

Does anyone else think the wildflowers are particularly beautiful this year? We've been admiring ours whilst working on a blog post on our wildflowers, birds and why they are special. Did you know that sheep's sorrel is the only plant on which the small copper butterfly will lay its eggs? Did you know the dipper is the only songbird in the world which can walk underwater? Did you know that sheep and ponies have been essential to protecting Dod Mill's ancient meadow in recent decades? Our small 5-acre site has so much biodiversity within its boundary - we're fascinated by it!
