Just a few wild flowers around Steren at the moment 😂. It’s been a good year for the ox eye daisys! I was admiring them while cleaning this morning so couldn’t resist taking a pic afterwards. Steren is now all ready for today’s check in 😊.

9 Years of Ekopod!

Nine years ago today, Matt and I took on the adventure of becoming the custodians of Ekopod. I don’t think people generally recommend working with your siblings, but 9 years suggests it’s worked for us 🤣.

Working around the site today, it was lovely to chat to our guests and take stock of how, over the years, things have changed. I’ve loved watching the landscape develop; tiny seedlings have become mature trees, and seeing ideas that once existed only in our heads become reality.

The best bit however, has been welcoming so many wonderful guests. Seeing people love the site, really relax, and create special memories here makes me so happy.

The last 12 months have, as always, had challenges and successes and been full of memorable moments. I’ve just gone through and tried to pick nine photos that sum up the biggest changes and my most memorable moments from our ninth year. From celebrating mine and Ben’s wedding at Ekopod, to creating a new play area, being featured in The Times and Escape to the Country, winning Gold for Glamping Business of the Year at the Cornwall Tourism Awards, witnessing the Northern Lights over the site, and continuing to make improvements, including a bathroom refurbishment and a new outdoor bath for Nessa. Take a look through and hopefully enjoy 😊.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, supported us, recommended us, left us such lovely reviews, and been part of the Ekopod journey over the last nine years. We’re so grateful to be able to keep growing, improving, and sharing this little corner of Cornwall with you all!

Today’s view from Crackington Haven. One of the many gorgeous beaches to explore on your visit. June means the beaches are relatively quiet so it was just us and two other families on the whole beach while we were there. This weekend is forecast sunny with highs of 23 degrees 🎉.
