Just down the road from the cottages is Davidstow Airfield. It is the perfect starting point for some lovely walks across to Bodmin Moor, Rough Tor and Crowdy Reservoir.

West Bowithick is the ideal place for ramblers and hikers to camp out and enjoy the surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty.

About 15 minutes drive from the holiday cottages, you can find the stunning Rough Tor (Pronounced R-ow-tor). Walking at Roughtor is the perfect way to get some fresh air and explore some of the area's most beautiful landscapes. And from the top, on a clear day, you can see all the way to the coast. Roughtor and the surrounding landscape are one of the best local places to see the mesmerising sight of a starling murmuration.
