Markets have been at the heart of Ledbury life for nearly 900 years. Long before supermarkets and online shopping, people travelled from surrounding villages to buy supplies, sell produce and catch up on local news.

The tradition continues today beneath the Market House, where visitors can still experience a small part of what made Ledbury one of Herefordshire's most important market towns, and of course finish the day at one of Ledbury's Historic Inns!

As apple harvest season begins across Herefordshire, it's hard to ignore the role orchards have played in shaping the landscape around Ledbury. 🌳

For centuries, local growers have produced apples for c***r and perry, creating an industry that became famous throughout the country, including our very own Colwall Juice, made from apples picked in Colwall and Bosbury! 🍻Have you tried it yet?

Even today, the surrounding countryside reflects this rich agricultural heritage, particularly as the trees become heavy with fruit each autumn. 🍎
