Rainy days like this remind us that not everywhere needs to be explored - sometimes the cottage is the destination.

Some days the weather makes the decision for you. 🌧️

A rainy day at White House Cottages looks like this:

Two nights. That's all it takes.

Research by nature-based travel company Unyoked found that just two nights in nature was 50% more effective at improving wellbeing than meditation apps - with 95% of participants reporting improved wellbeing and burnout reducing by 16% after a short stay.

Not a two-week holiday. Not a digital detox retreat. Two nights.

We think about this a lot, because it's essentially what we're here for. The cottages aren't trying to be a luxury resort. They're trying to be the thing you actually need — somewhere quiet, somewhere real, somewhere that asks nothing of you except to slow down.
