It’s all going on in the Solent this weekend! Powerboats will be zooming round the Island 🚤and the massive SailGP event takes place at the same time just offshore near Southsea. ⛵️ The following week Cowes Week starts - Saturday August 1st to Friday 7th August. Usually we can see some of the racing for this throughout the week from Solent View, including the Fireworks on Friday evening. 🎆🎇

Classes 1, 1L, 2 - 12:30 - START RUN + LAP A + LAP B
Class 3 - 12:40 - START RUN + LAP A

The unique hovercraft museum at the other end of the beach in Lee-on-the-Solent. It’s open most weekends. I’m always amazed at the size of the cross channel car ferry hovercraft!

It’s one of those lovely sunny winters day today. There’s no wind, the water is still and there’s a slight warmth from the sun. I didn’t even need a woolly hat on the morning walk! I hope everyone’s day is just as nice!
