What a fabulous start to the week; we took an early morning trip up to the Roaches and managed to get well ahead of the crowds.

Glorious morning on Stanage Edge yesterday. We ditched the running and took binoculars instead and were rewarded with several sightings of the very special Ring Ouzel, a Winchat and a not so rare but beautiful Kestrel.

Stunning walk through Castern Wood early this morning, blankets of tiny violets, waves of cow slips and the first orchid of the year.

We have a bank holiday weekend approaching and due to a cancellation delightful Dalemore Cottage is available for a spring get away in the Peak District.

Dalemore Cottage has two bedrooms, one king, one twin, a shower room and a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, wood burner in the living room and a dinning room which opens up to over look the brook running though the garden.
We are situated in the village of Butterton, walking distance to the award winning Black Lion pub and a slightly longer walk to Thors Cave. We welcome dogs.
