“A lovely base for walks around the Peak District. Beautiful views and so quiet, and just 10 minutes into Leek with plenty of supermarkets, pubs, shops etc. The house itself is lovely - really well equipped and stone floors throughout downstairs so no worries coming back from a muddy walk. We had a great time - Isabel was a super host and gave some good suggestions for places to visit on our mini-break. We would definitely like to return for another visit in the summer.”

What a wonderful barn, beautiful location, spotlessly clean and warm!, good quality cotton bedlinen and has everything you need in the kitchen and in the house and much more. Isabel and Brian are very welcoming lovely people who made our stay really enjoyable, even plenty of dog towels were provided, cake, useful books etc. We were happy there and will be back. Thank you very much, Isabel and Brian. Xx

We had a fantastic stay at Ballfields Barn. The setting was absolutely beautiful with lots of space to sit and enjoy the views. There was also plenty of secure space for our dog to enjoy. Inside the barn is finished to a very high standard with everything you could need as well as being incredibly clean. Finally our hosts were very friendly and helpful, they made us feel very well looked after whilst also respecting our privacy. Absolutely wonderful stay, will definitely be returning!

Ballfields Barn was converted in 2009-2011 by Brian and Isabel Smith with help from Bob,the builder, Kevin,the joiner and Steve and John the plasterers. The original barn was renovated in 2008 by local Johnson family builders. The Barn was converted to a high standard and awarded 4 star Gold by Visit England in 2011 and each year since then. A Certificate of Excellence 2018&2019 was awarded by Trip Advisor.Staffordshire Tourism Silver Award 2018. Since 2011 we have welcomed guests from all over the world; USA, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, The Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Kuwait, Dubai, Madiera and Ghana and from all over England.
